The cakes popular among the sweets are protein-cream baskets - picturesque, solemn and delicious. At the same time, the preparation is quite simple. The dough is more often used shortbread, crumbly and not too sweet for balance.

Ingredients:

Dough:

Flour - 200 g

Sugar - 1 tbsp. l.

Egg - 1 pc.

Vegetable oil - 50 ml

Baking powder - 0.25 tsp l.

Salt - 0.25 tsp l.

Cream:

Eggs - 2 pcs.

Sugar - 100 g

Water - 50 ml

Lemon juice - 1 tbsp l.

Filling:

Berries or jam - 50 g

If you are planning to bake baskets with protein cream, take the foods on the list. I have 4 baskets at the exit and another bowl of cream. The dough can be stretched from the specified products for 6-7 cakes.

We start by kneading the dough. Combine flour (about 150 g), a little granulated sugar, salt, soda, an egg and vegetable oil (you can replace it with butter). For ease of the process, use a chopper with a "knife" attachment.

We start the unit, mix the ingredients.

If necessary, sprinkle the sticky dough with additional flour, knead until soft and elastic.

Divide the pliable dough into equal parts and place in oiled corrugated molds for muffins and baskets. To prevent the middle from swelling, we throw the load (legumes). We bake in a pre-heated oven for about 25 minutes at 180 degrees. Cool and remove from containers.

At the same time, we prepare a gentle but stable protein cream. This requires water, egg whites, sugar, and lemon juice (or citric acid).

Pour sugar into drinking water and put on an overhead fire.

Boil, lower the temperature, dissolve the sugar crystals and cook the syrup until thickened for about 10 minutes.

We check the sugar syrup for readiness - transparent drops curl up, do not spread over the saucer.

Separate the whites from the yolks. We only need egg whites.
