In scientific terms, jelly is a colloidal food solution that is served chilled, as a result of which it acquires the consistency of a jelly. And in everyday language, this is a delicious, light, shaking dessert that attracts attention with its brightness. In its simplest form, two ingredients (juice and gelatin) and a minimum of effort are enough to prepare it, but it takes a little patience to wait for the tasting.

For some, jelly is too common and boring dessert. And if you approach the cooking process creatively and serve it in an unusual way? Like a glass filled with beer? This option for serving a familiar dessert will clearly surprise and bring a touch of fun at a family dinner, for any a party and even a romantic dinner (many people spend it with a glass of beer, not wine - all individually). And how will it be relevant on April 1 !!!

Such a dessert, as a variety of the menu, can be served at banquets and buffets, pouring jelly into small plastic cups. It is also suitable for a children's party, but here, of course, the similarity with beer for toddlers must be veiled with colorful attractive dishes.

Ingredients:

  • Apple juice - 800 ml
  • Sugar - 4 tbsp. l.
  • Gelatin - 20 g

Prepare the ingredients required according to the list. Ordinary apple juice packaged from a supermarket, but natural and preferably without added sugar. If you have a juicer, you can squeeze your homemade drink.

Pour gelatin with 100 ml of juice and leave for 40-60 minutes to swell. Since apple juice is more acidic, it is still worth sweetening it for this dessert. Heat the drink, but do not boil, dissolve granulated sugar in it and dissolve the gelatin.

You can add brown cane sugar to add a caramel flavor. And you can make caramel with the taste of burnt from sugar, which will make the dessert not cloying and to some extent tart. To do this, mix sugar with 1 tbsp. l. juice and cook without interfering (you can only occasionally rotate the pan / saucepan), until a dark shade with a characteristic burnt smell.

You can make burnt caramel in the microwave. The first time to chat syrup in a minute, the following cycles - every half a minute. Continue until desired result. Be very careful while doing this !!!

Very carefully pour half of the hot juice into the finished burnt (it should stop bubbling). Add the swollen gelatin and mix thoroughly until it is completely dissolved and caramel (if it does set). Mix the resulting solution with the rest of the juice.

Pour 150 ml into a separate container and leave at room temperature, pour the rest into glasses, glasses, glasses, leaving room for foam. Send in the cold for an hour, although this time also depends on the volume filled in the containers. But in any case, if there are 4 portions, then you do not need to wait for the jelly to solidify completely.

After the allotted hour, place the remaining part in a whipping container, the size of which should accommodate an increase in volume of 3-4 times.

Use a whisker (mixer, blender with whisk attachment, kitchen processor) to turn the solution into a fluffy white foam. Beat at first at a slow speed, then increase.

Put the resulting mass with a spoon on top of the jelly, imitating the foam cap on the beer. Put the remaining foam in a separate bowl for dessert and also cool. Someone might like this thing even more. Send the dessert to the refrigerator until it solidifies.

When preparing this dessert, it is better not to be lazy, deciding that you can immediately beat the entire volume, pour into glasses and not suffer. Indeed, this can be done, all the more, when cooling, separation into jelly and foam will occur. BUT! The moment here is such that it is very difficult to pour it evenly: in one glass there may be more jelly and less foam, and in the other - vice versa. Therefore, it is better not to arrange such unexpected surprises for yourself, so that later you will not be upset with the result obtained, especially if the dessert is being prepared for guests.
