There are food habits, many of which came to us from the Soviet Union, and terribly enrage. For example, you can always eat everything with bread or add 2-3 lumps of sugar to tea. Yes, this is all very individual, but you need to understand that such habits are not useful, on the contrary, they can seriously harm the body.
Bread is the head of everything
From older relatives you can often hear the phrase that everything must be eaten with bread. And this habit is from the Soviet Union, where indeed all dishes were "seized" with a piece of bread. And the same habit is found today among contemporaries, and this is not because it is useful and satisfying, but simply because they are used to it. And getting rid of it is quite difficult - you really get used to bread at lunch and dinner.
On a subconscious level, it is driven into us: food without bread is not food, without it saturation will not come, and bread itself is healthy. Perhaps in the Soviet Union, it made sense to eat everything with bread, since meat in stores was difficult to find, and it was difficult to get enough of a soup, which contained only vegetables.
But in fact, bread is a large amount of carbohydrates and calories, because in 100 g of bread there is up to 300 Kcal. In addition, white bread is characterized by a high glycemic index, with about 100 units. About the same in pure sugar. But a high glycemic index is not a good thing, as it not only increases the risk of diabetes, but also causes fat to be stored on the belly and thighs.
If you are used to eating everything with bread, you should not be surprised that you have extra pounds. Just count: a hearty lunch is about 500-1000 calories, about 300 more calories is just bread. If you eat like this 3 times a day, then only 1000 calories "takes" bread, although for the average person the maximum number of calories should be no more than 2500 per day, or even less.
You need to eat soup every day - it's healthy
On the one hand, there is nothing wrong with this, especially if it is a delicious cream soup or red borscht cooked on a juicy piece of beef. But not every soup is healthy. Remember this phrase that without hot and liquid stomach problems can begin? This is not entirely true. If you cook the lean version on a "soup set" with a minimum amount of vegetables, then there is no benefit from such a product.
In addition, the soup "clogs" the stomach, as a result there is no room for a normal dinner: fresh vegetables, fish, meat.
Coffee and tea only with sugar
Another habit of our grandparents. But real and high-quality tea and coffee without sweeteners only reveal their taste. In addition, sugar diluted in hot liquid is instantly absorbed, enters the bloodstream, which leads to the release of insulin and a sharp decrease in glucose.
As a result, in half an hour after such a tea party, you will feel the strongest hunger, which you will want to eat something sweet.
This food habit also hails from the USSR: at that time, you could find Indian or Georgian teas on the shelves, which really could not be drunk without sugar. If you like sugary drinks, add some honey.
Sweet juices are good, there is nothing dangerous in soda
You can often hear the phrase from friends that instead of sweet juice it is better to buy lemonade for children, because there is nothing dangerous in it - everyone drank it in childhood. But in fact, this is how we change the awl for soap.
Firstly, any soda, like natural juice, contains a lot of sugar. And the fact is that it is instantly absorbed by the body, which also provokes a jump in blood glucose. If you constantly consume such drinks, you can not be surprised at the appearance of extra pounds.
That is why it is often surprising to people who are on diets, but at the same time drink juice. Yes, extra pounds, of course, will go away due to a decrease in the number of calories. But the juice contains a lot of fructose, which is deposited in the liver. And when space runs out, fructose is converted to fat.
After eating, you definitely need a dessert.
And this happens quite often. It would seem that they are so full that there is no more room in the stomach, but the body still requires sweets. And then cookies, chocolates, cakes and much more are used.
But it is important to remember that sweets are always very high in calories - it is enough to eat 300 g of cookies for an extra 1000 Kcal to enter the body. Therefore, you definitely need to wean yourself from such a eating habit if you do not want to become the owner of extra pounds.
