6 products of the USSR and the present: who will win in taste and quality?

Each of us, coming to the store, wants to buy natural healthy products. But alas, every year the quality of goods is much worse and delicious milk, ice cream, cheeses, sausages are becoming less and less. Looking at the composition of modern products, one immediately recalls the times of the Soviet Union, because then on the shelves there were really goods made from natural ingredients.

We decided to compare the most popular products of that time and today. And we want to say - the preponderance is not in favor of modern manufacturers.

Ice cream

In 1941, GOST 117 was developed, according to which ice cream was produced.

It was prepared based on only 4 products:

  • butter;
  • milk;
  • Sahara;
  • cream;
There was no trace of preservatives.

But since 1966, this favorite delicacy began to be produced according to technical conditions, replacing them with GOSTs.

This means that manufacturers could use substitutes: preservatives, soy milk, sucrose. And since the 1990s, beautiful foreign ice cream has appeared on the shelves. Its composition was similar: palm or coconut oil, preservatives, flavors and a lot of other components.

Condensed milk

For the first time in Russia, condensed milk appeared in 1881 after the opening of a plant near Orenburg. It was prepared in accordance with GOST 2903-78 from components such as cow's milk and sugar; coffee or cocoa was added for taste.

Today, not a trace has remained of such "naturalness". Emulsifiers, flavorings, soy components are added to condensed milk, palm oil is the main ingredient. Also, the composition may contain: milk fat, thickeners, preservatives, whey. Naturally, this makes the product not so useful, and the taste properties suffer.

Sausage

This is one of the most beloved products of the Soviet people. True, the quality of the sausage left much to be desired, as a result, in 1936 it was decided to start the production of sausages and sausages (the most popular are Tea, Doktorskaya, Krakowska). Anastas Mikoyan, People's Commissar of the Food Industry, insisted on this.

And these products were really meat: per 100 kg of the finished product there were 25 kg of beef, 70 kg of lean pork, 2 liters of milk and 3 kg of eggs. Agree, the composition is impressive.

In modern sausage, there is not even a hint of an early composition - it contains the entire Mendleev table with the exception of meat.

Recall that WHO experts equated modern sausages with carcinogenic products that are also dangerous to our health, like alcohol and nicotine. The less of them in the diet, the better.

Processed cheese

For the first time, processed cheese began to be produced in 1960. According to GOST, it included:

  • cheese.
  • butter.
  • spice.
  • milk.

Today, on store shelves, you can find products with a wide variety of compositions: preservatives, dyes, flavorings. In general, solid chemistry. And even more so, you should not buy the so-called cheese product - it contains palm oil.

Lemonade

Lemonade is a favorite drink of adults and children from the Soviet Union. It was not only tasty, but also healthy, it was prepared from only two components: lemon juice and water (or soda water).

If you read the composition of modern lemonade, you will definitely be tempted to drink it. There is only natural water. Other components: acidity regulators, sweeteners, preservatives, dyes, in general, a complete list of E-additives.

Margarine

"Soviet" margarine is very different from the modern one. It consisted of the following components: high quality vegetable fats, sugar, salt, milk. Agree, there is nothing dangerous in such a product.

But in the margarine that is now sold in stores, the composition is completely different: water, vegetable fats, oils, emulsifiers, preservatives, dyes, flavors.

The main danger of such a product is vegetable fats, which undergo a hydrogenation process.

Scientists say that regular consumption of margarine in food leads to diseases of the cardiovascular system, can cause Alzheimer's disease.
