Kalina can be harvested for the winter in various ways, preparing jams, compotes, preserves, freezing berries in the freezer. The easiest method is to grind it with a lot of sugar. So viburnum will not only preserve the natural taste, but also most of the beneficial properties. Such a grated berry can be added to tea in winter, made cocktails, syrups, sauces and so on based on it. Viburnum blanks will be the best natural remedy in the fight against viral diseases in the cold season.

Ingredients:

Kalina - 500 gr.

Sugar - 500 gr.

Step by step recipe:

Prepare the berries and sugar. Choose viburnum of exceptionally high quality, without damage and spoiled places.

Wash the berries well in cold water. So that she does not let the juice into the water, wash it without tearing it off the branches.

Next, carefully tear each berry from the branches. Since viburnum can splash juice, be sure to protect your hands with gloves and wear an apron. Place individual berries in a sieve, rinse with running water.

Place them in a deep container (not metric), cover generously with granulated sugar. Save 100 g of sugar for later.

Stir the mixture so that the sugar grains envelop all the berries. In this state, set the viburnum aside for 1 hour, covering with gauze.
