Milk barley porridge is an ideal breakfast dish, especially for children who do not like to drink pure milk. In addition, you do not need to spend any effort and time - the multicooker will cook for you and even keep the dish heated until all the relatives gather at the table in the morning.
If desired, you can make salty or sweet porridge, and when serving, add honey, milk, syrup, jam, jam, topping or a couple of meat products: cutlets, sausage, etc. To get crumbly porridge, it is better to reduce the cooking time from 1 hour (often this is set on the "Porridge" mode) to 30 minutes. Milk can be used in any fat content, pasteurized store or homemade, but always boiled!
Ingredients:
Barley groats - 200 g
Milk - 400 ml
Hot water - 200 ml
Butter 73% fat - 70 g
Salt to taste
Preparation:
1. Sort the barley, removing the debris, pour it into a deep container and fill it with cold water. Rinse several times until the husk no longer floats to the surface of the liquid.
2. Pour the washed cereal into the multicooker bowl and distribute it evenly inside. There is no need to lubricate the bottom of the bowl.
3. Add salt or sugar if you are going to make sweet porridge.
4. Pour in hot water and milk. It is imperative to add water, since in pure milk, cereals will cook more slowly due to the presence of lactic acid, and this way it will absorb water and swell, having melted in milk. Activate the "Porridge" mode on the vehicle board, decrease the time to 30 minutes and close the lid. If you wish, you can not decrease the time, but then at the exit you will get an almost homogeneous mass. Go about your business and try not to open the lid of the equipment so as not to let off steam.
5. A beep will tell you that the food is almost ready. Open the lid of the multicooker, being careful not to burn yourself, add butter or other fat of your choice, stir gently and close again. Let the porridge steam and soak in the creamy aroma for another 5-10 minutes. The swollen groats will draw him in and become much juicier and tastier.
Spread the aromatic barley porridge from the multicooker into plates, season with various additives and serve hot to the table, calling your relatives.
