A classic combination of products in a simple vitamin, very healthy salad - carrot with apple. But how to diversify - it's up to you, and here there are just a lot of options.
Firstly, you can season the salad with natural yogurt, sour cream or olive oil. Secondly (if there is no allergy), you can add absolutely any slightly toasted nuts - with them the dish becomes more interesting in taste and more satisfying. Thirdly, in winter, you can add your favorite dried fruits to this salad, such as raisins, dried apricots, dates, figs, cranberries - all this is ideally combined in taste with the main ingredients.
Many add sugar, but I would not advise doing this, it is better - a pinch of sea or pink salt, especially since all the components of the dish themselves are quite sweet.
Ingredients:
Carrots - 150 g
Apple - 200 g
Blueberries - 2 tablespoons
Natural yogurt - 2 tablespoons
Sea salt or pink salt (optional) - a pinch
Preparation:
1. Prepare foods from the list. Wash the carrots and apples under running water, pat dry with paper towels, peel them.
2. Grate the root vegetable on a special grater for cooking Korean carrots, so the salad will look pretty ready-made. Place the grated vegetable in a deep bowl.
3. Cut the apple into quarters, peel it of seeds, grate on the same grater, add to the carrots in a bowl. By the way, apple peel contains many vitamins and nutrients, it is up to you to clean it or not.
4. Season with natural Greek yogurt without additives, if desired, you can add a pinch of quality sea or pink salt, mix the contents of the bowl thoroughly.
5. Now is the season of blueberries - a berry often referred to as a cure for old age, so it should be eaten in large quantities. We wash it, put it on a paper towel.
6. Now it remains only to arrange the finished salad in portions, sprinkle with blueberries and serve.
A delicious, healthy and externally beautiful salad of fresh carrots with an apple is ready. Garnish with a mint leaf and serve as a snack before your main meal.
