I love watching all sorts of master classes, as I love to do creative work in my free time. Once I accidentally came across a video on which a girl was making a bouquet of fruits. I liked this idea so much that I already purposefully subscribed to several topic groups and blogs.
The first men's bouquet of beer, cheese, sausage and snacks was made for a relative. All ingredients are attached to separate skewers, and then they are assembled into a bouquet with the help of adhesive tape.
The next bouquets were marshmallows and marshmallows, unwrapped chocolates on the base, dried fruits and nuts. The first customers appeared from among the guests at the celebration, where the birthday girl was presented with a bouquet of marshmallows.
For the work I took almost a symbolic amount - only 200 rubles, since they were friends and I wanted to practice. They were delighted and secured a few more clients for me.
What do you need to start?
In order to earn the first money, you need initial theoretical training (the main thing here is practice) and a minimum of tools and materials:
- wooden skewers;
- toothpicks, if the bouquet is collected on a foam or foam base;
- paper, felt, organza and transparent mica for packaging a bouquet;
- glue gun (at first you can do without it);
- Scotch;
- stapler;
- scissors or pruning shears for aligning the "legs" of the bouquet;
- floristic greenery or flowers, if they are part of the composition;
- satin ribbon;
- fruits, candies, nuts or other ingredients for a food bouquet.
Consumables (paper, skewers) are cheaper to buy in bulk. But, until the first orders appear, you can buy a little bit of everything in stationery. It is important - it is better to take paper without a pattern, in several basic shades. One sheet costs 50-70 rubles, a pack of skewers - 90 rubles. I have a glue gun for 300 rubles, but I need to buy a more powerful and convenient one, with a heating indicator.
How is the price of the product formed?
The cost of a bouquet consists of the price of ingredients (excluding alcohol, if we are talking about an option for a man) + the cost of consumables (skewers, scotch tape, packaging) plus the cost of work. Experienced and novice food florists evaluate their work in different ways (depending on the region, the size of the settlement, labor costs, the promotion of the master).
So far, I take for work a little less than the cost of the costs of ingredients, since in my regional center people have a low level of income. Earnings depend on the number of completed orders. In a typical month, there are about 10-15 orders (despite the fact that I have the main job). For 15 bouquets at an average price of 500 rubles, I get 7,500 rubles. My record is 26,000 in May (they ordered bouquets to school and kindergartens, but there were a lot of mini-bouquets there).
The cost price of a bouquet of expensive dried fruits with macadamia nuts is 1200 rubles, but it is very laborious. These are sold for 2500 rubles, but I estimated my work at 800 rubles, and it cost the customer 2000 rubles.
Where to look for clients?
It is worth creating your own group on social networks, subscribing to urban groups and sometimes doing advertising there or writing comments with your links, organizing free giveaways. I always attach a business card with contacts to my bouquets (my daughter made them for me and they cost the price of colored cardboard). Yet in a small town, the bulk of customers come through word of mouth.
