Easter is a centuries-old, important Christian holiday in honor of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. Krashenki - as a symbol of the victory of life over death. We decorate the house with them, and we also present them as a gift to relatives and friends. Just as Mary Magdalene presented an egg as a gift to the Roman emperor, with the good news of the Resurrection of Christ. As if confirming her words, it turned red in Tiberius's hands. Although it is traditional, symbolizing the color of blood, the church does not prohibit making dyes and other colors.
Today I will describe the process of dyeing eggs with a marbled effect. This will require onion peels and a bottle of brilliant green.
Here are some helpful tips to get you started:
- The paint lays on clean eggs better, so I recommend that you first wash them thoroughly with soda.
- Take the eggs out of the refrigerator ahead of time to prevent them from bursting during cooking.
- For a brighter and more pronounced pattern, it is better to use eggs with white shells.
- For staining, it is advisable to highlight a separate dish.
- Use rubber gloves to protect your hands.
- For shine, wipe the colored eggs with a cloth soaked in vegetable oil.
Ingredients:
- Eggs - 6 pieces
- Zelenka - 1 bottle
- Onion peel - a handful
I prepare everything you need.
As a retaining material, you can take gauze napkins, 15x15 cm in size. It is more convenient for me to use nylon knee socks. I wash them in soapy water and dry them first.
I cut the onion husk into segments of different sizes. If you don't have enough time, just grind it in a blender.
I dip the egg first in water, and then roll it in a bowl with crushed husk.
I put it in a nylon stocking. Pour some more onion peel on top. I twist the end of the stocking so that it tightly wraps around the egg, and fasten it with a thread.
If the husk is unevenly covering the egg, it can be corrected by moving it under the capron in the right direction.
This is how I deal with all the eggs.
I put the eggs in a nylon in a saucepan, fill it with cold water and put it on the fire.
As soon as the water boils, I pour a bottle of greenery into the pan and continue to cook the eggs for another 10 minutes.
After the allotted time, I remove the pan from the heat.
I take out the tape of eggs and put it in a bowl of cold water.
After they have cooled down, I cut the nylon and remove the layer of onion peel. I wash it under running water.
I dry them and wipe the eggs with a napkin dipped in vegetable oil for shine.
These are the marble dyes!
