A juicy second course can be prepared using handy kitchen appliances, such as a multicooker. In it, pork with vegetables will turn out not only tasty, but also healthy, especially if you prepare such a treat during the season of harvesting young vegetables: zucchini, carrots, green peas, potatoes, etc.
Remember to add a little water when stewing so that the vegetables do not burn. If the pork is oily, then vegetable oil can be excluded from the list of ingredients by cutting off pieces of bacon from the meat and frying them in a bowl until melted.
The dish is served only hot, so that the taste of frozen fat is not felt in the mouth. By the way, instead of water, you can add broth: beef, chicken, vegetable, etc.
Ingredients:
Pork - 400 g
Potatoes - 3 pcs.
Carrots - 1 pc.
Bulb onions - 1 pc.
Zucchini - 1 pc.
Water - 150 ml
Green peas (peeled) - 100 g
Vegetable oil - 40 ml
Spices to taste
Preparation:
1. Rinse the pork, cut the veins and films from the meat, cut into portions. The smaller the meats, the faster the meal will cook. Peel off the peel from the root vegetables, rinse them in water, put them in a bowl of water so that they do not weather and darken while the meat is fried.
2. Turn on the “Fry” mode on the multicooker display for 10-15 minutes and pour odorless vegetable oil into the bowl: olive or sunflower. Place the cold cuts and close the lid.
3. Fry for about 4-5 minutes, then stir, close the lid again and fry until golden brown.
4. While the pork is fried, cut the peeled root vegetables: potatoes - into wedges, onions - in half rings, carrots - into medium cubes. As soon as the beep sounds, add the vegetable cuts to the multicooker bowl. Pour in hot water and activate the "Stew" or "Vegetables" mode for 25 minutes. Close the equipment with a lid.
5. Remove the peas from the pea pods and rinse, remove the peel. Wash the zucchini in water, cut off the tails on both sides of the vegetable, cut into half washers. Add vegetables to the multicooker bowl when there are 10 minutes left on the display until the end of cooking. Green peas can be substituted for green beans of any color, washed, chopped into pieces.
6. Add salt and ground black pepper, other spices or seasonings to taste.
7. After the sound signal, carefully open the lid and release the steam.
8. Put the prepared dish on plates and serve hot, if desired, decorate with fresh herbs.
