Modern advanced pediatricians increasingly recommend transferring the child to a common table as soon as possible. If the kids eat with you, and not just some of their soups and cutlets, they develop faster, their food is more varied. But there are a number of limitations. Here are 5 foods to be careful with.
Semolina
Many parents give their children semolina porridge in the morning, because they themselves grew up on it. But according to nutritionists, this is not the best option for children, because semolina does not contain any nutrients and vitamins? The fact is that semolina is processed from the center of the wheat grain and after processing nothing useful remains.
In fact, this is starch, that is, high-calorie and useless food. If you like the taste, you can sometimes include it in the diet, alternating with other cereals.
In addition, sugar should not be added, as many do, because this is sheer harm that not only spoils teeth, but also impairs immunity, inhibits brain and heart function, triggering a vicious cycle called metabolic syndrome, which can lead to diabetes, obesity, and others problems.
Sugar
It is especially abundant in cereals and instant cereals familiar to children - just what we often give children in the morning. And there is a lot of sugar in such flakes, but practically nothing useful.
The same can be said about glazed curds, which at first glance are useful, but in fact, they are the same sweets - there is a lot of sugar, high fat content, that is, nothing but fat and carbohydrates in their composition no. Therefore, it is undesirable for children to eat them. The "black list" also includes yoghurts, but not all, but those with additives that are just tastier.
Yes, they contain beneficial bacteria, but there is also a lot of sugar - about 2 tsp. per 100 g of product. And yet dangerous are products that look like yogurt, but are called "Yogurt Product". And they definitely do not have anything useful - neither bacteria necessary for immunity, nor fruits.
Sugar can not only cause obesity, but it can also spoil the dietary habits of children, which makes it harder for them to taste regular food and eat well. This is also the opinion of Western experts, including the author of a book on proper baby nutrition, Deborah Colson. According to her, children eat food rich in sugar almost from birth, their taste buds are clogged. and any other food will seem unpalatable, making healthy eating more difficult to incorporate into the diet.
It is impossible to completely protect from sugar, and it is not necessary, the main thing is to correctly form an attitude towards sweet - children should consider such products exclusively as a dessert, which should not replace the usual food.
Juices and soda
Many people think that fruit juice at breakfast is a good start to the day, but nutritionists are against it. In a glass of packaged juice - up to 6 tsp. Sahara. And carbonated drinks are even worse. In addition to sugar, they contain carbon dioxide, which irritates the child's digestive tract.
So if you really want juice, then it is better to drink freshly squeezed, and it is better to make a smoothie. But instead of soda, it is advisable to drink water or tea without sugar.
Pickles and marinades (due to vinegar)
Children's stomach is simply not ready for a "vinegar attack" on the mucous membrane, and regular consumption of such products can lead to ulcers.
By the way, the same applies to some sauces, for example, ketchup, which also contains vinegar. It is for this reason that since 2008, such refueling has been prohibited in Russian schools. Another problem with ketchup is that its taste is too strong, which disrupts the proper functioning of receptors, and after it healthy vegetables seem tasteless.
Mushrooms
In general, this is not a very simple product even for the digestion of an adult, and children simply cannot cope with it. Any food based on fungus is too heavy for a child's stomach.
Fungin carbohydrate is to blame for everything, because of which mushrooms are difficult to digest. Of course, everything is individual, but some children should not be given mushrooms at all until they are 10 years old.
Another reason, which is called by one of the world's leading mycologists, a Soviet scientist working in Israel - Solomon Wasser. According to him, mushrooms should not be given to children, since their immune system is not fully formed, and the substances contained in this product may not influence it in the best way.
Therefore, pregnant women and young children should not use them.
Yes, we are talking about significant quantities of mushrooms, but little by little - no problem. This generally applies to any food, the main thing is to form the correct eating behavior in children.
