I love homemade lemonades not only for the simplicity of their preparation, but also for the usefulness of this simple drink. At some point, my son became addicted to Schweppes and Sevenap, and I thought, why not try to cook something alternative, but only from completely natural products.
At home, lemonade turns out to be very rich, moderately sweet, while you can adjust its taste as you wish. For example, you can add mint or lemon balm to it for a brighter taste, and replace sugar with liquid honey or maple syrup. In general, this is a versatile drink that can always be tailored to your preferences. Be sure to cook, in the summer it is simply irreplaceable.
Ingredients:
Large orange - 2 pcs.
Large lemon - 1 pc.
Lime - 2 pcs.
Sugar (honey) - 3 tablespoons
Drinking water - 1.5 liters
Preparation:
1. Prepare foods on the list. Wash citrus fruits thoroughly with a sponge under running water, pat dry with paper towels.
2. To help lemons and oranges release their juice more easily, the process can be accelerated in several ways: roll citrus fruits on the table, pressing them firmly against it with your palm, or set for 30 seconds in microwave.
3. Now, cut each citrus in half, grab any convenient juicer and squeeze out all the juice. Throw away the cake or add it to the juice, then the lemonade will turn out with pulp. Leave half of the lime, it will still be useful to us.
4. From this amount of fruit, you will get about 200 grams of pure juice.
5. Now add 1.5 liters of clean drinking water and sugar to taste. Stir the lemonade with a spoon until the sugar granules dissolve. Again, it's easier to microwave it for 20 seconds and then stir the remaining crystals. If you are against sugar, replace it with liquid honey.
6. Cut the remaining half of the lime into thin slices and put it in a decanter / jug for serving lemonade.
7. Pour the previously prepared lemonade into the same jug and send it to the refrigerator until completely cooled.
8. Incredibly tasty and healthy homemade lemon, lime and orange lemonade is ready.
You can add a couple of ice cubes to the chilled drink and serve it with a straw. You can decorate with a leaf of mint or slices of fruit - all to your taste and discretion.
