An appetizer in the form of miniature "baskets" - tartlets filled with salads, caviar, fresh vegetables and herbs, pate - on the table looks beautiful, presentable and at the same time it is convenient. It is not for nothing that parties, buffets and meetings "on their feet", where they do without cutlery, practice in the menu to introduce all kinds of canapes and tartlets: food for one bite.

The easiest way to buy ready-made baskets: sweet, salty, unleavened, sand, puff, waffle - there is a great selection on sale. But if you have a roll of semi-finished dough at hand, bake them yourself.

Ingredients:

Puff pastry - 300 g

Vegetable oil - 20 ml

Step by step recipe:

Step 1 - To make puff pastry tartlets at home, first defrost the flour semi-finished product and prepare some vegetable oil. For gluing parts, you can do with water. But the oil will give a light golden hue, while the baskets will remain matte, velvety. If the task is to cover with a glossy shine, use egg yolk.

Step 2 - Unroll the thawed roll of dough in an even layer. Use a cookie cutter or other handy tool to push through the mugs. Glasses, through tubes are suitable here. The diameter is easy to vary, but try not to cut too large, these are not puff patties. Focus on a diameter of 3-5 cm. As for the configuration, in addition to round ones, they also bake oval, rectangular, square ones; for sure, triangles can also be molded.

Step 3 - There are two pieces of the same size / diameter for one tartlet. Leave half of the circles intact, for the base, and in the second half - make holes of a smaller diameter (ring / bead).

Step 4 - Cover the base circles with vegetable oil or water, place the rings on top, which also lubricate with oil.

Step 5 - Transfer the blank baskets to a floured (or lined with parchment) mold. Pierce the center of each with a fork to reduce swelling. Load additionally with legumes - under oppression the middle will retain its thickness, the side will grow around the circumference and a depression will form (the same basket).

Step 6 - Remove the beans, paper, cool the puff tartlets themselves and fill with an appetizer or sweet filling (cream, berries, fruits, chocolate, meringue).

Step 7 - Serve the light and tasty puff pastry tartlets as a snack or dessert.
