Chinese-style sweet and sour pork has long been popular and loved in many countries around the world. Here you can order it with a side dish in any Asian restaurant that delivers food to your home. My family is no exception, we also sometimes order this dish and most often with rice. True, this rarely happens when there is absolutely no time for cooking. Usually I cook Asian style pork myself, I am absolutely sure that homemade food is always much tastier.
Ingredients:
Pork - 250 g
Bulgarian pepper - 100 g
Hot pepper - to taste
Lime juice (or lemon) - 1 tablespoon
Soy sauce - 3 tablespoons
Tomato sauce - 3 tablespoons
Brown sugar - 1 tsp
Cornstarch (optional) - 1 tsp
Ch.m. pepper - taste
Vegetable oil - 1 tbsp.
Powdered garlic - 2 g
Powdered ginger - 2 g
Powdered coriander - 2 g
Water - 150 g
Preparation:
1. To prepare such a Chinese dish, prepare all the necessary products according to the list. Wash the vegetables under running water and dry.
2. Most of all, I like to cook Chinese pork from the neck, it turns out to be soft and juicy, and besides, it is stewed quickly. Wash the meat too, dry it dry.
3. If you like, then you can take fresh garlic and ginger, just adjust them to your liking, otherwise the finished dish may turn out to be too spicy.
4. Heat some unscented refined vegetable oil in a frying pan, put in it pork neck chopped across the fibers, fry the meat on all sides until a beautiful golden brown crust, 5-7 minutes.
5. Bell pepper, preferably of a bright color, peel of seeds and stalks, cut into thin slices, add to the pan. Fry for 2-3 minutes.
6. In a deep bowl, combine the soy sauce, your favorite tomato sauce, brown sugar, lime or lemon juice, add all the seasonings, and a little water. Stir the contents until smooth, taste.
7. Pour the sauce into the pan, stir. Cut hot peppers into rings, add to the pork, cook everything together over medium heat for another 5-7 minutes. If you want a glossy thick sauce, add a little potato starch, but this is not necessary.
8. Once the sauce has thickened, the dish is ready and can be removed from the stove and served.
9. As I wrote above, we like pork in sweet and sour sauce with boiled rice the most, so I served it that way.
If you like, sprinkle the finished dish with fresh chopped cilantro, it will enhance the flavor. Very simple, fast enough and incredibly tasty.
