Such aromatic pastries are always pleasing, especially when they are served with hot drinks, but no one wants to bother with cooking. That is why there is a "lazy" method of making pita bread strudel with apples (such a dough product you can be purchased at any convenience store, often they sell two or three pieces at once, sealed in package).

The roll is prepared in 20-25 minutes - this time is quite enough to stew the filling and bake the strudel until golden brown. The filling is classic: apples, nuts, cinnamon, raisins, granulated sugar and butter, but if you do not have all the necessary ingredients or someone from your family does not welcome nuts or raisins in baking, then just exclude them from the list and cook further on recipe.

Ingredients:

Lavash - 2 pcs.

Apples - 3 pcs.

Sugar - 4 tablespoons

Ground cinnamon - 0.5 tsp

Walnuts - 50 g

Bread crumbs - 50 g

Butter - 50 g

Powdered sugar for dusting

How to cook:

1. Rinse the apples in water, cut into quarters and remove the seed blocks. Peel the quarters off - this is a must, since at the moment almost everything apples on sale are treated with paraffin for better preservation and increased shelf life fruit.

2. Rinse the peeled quarters again and cut into medium cubes.

3. Heat a skillet with high sides or a cauldron / saucepan with a non-stick bottom, add butter and melt. Add apple slices.

4. Grind the walnut kernels in the palms of your hands, but not to crumbs - they should be felt in the filling. Pour into a container with granulated sugar. If the apples are sweet varieties, then pour in 0.5 tsp. lemon juice, if they have a sweet and sour aftertaste, then this ingredient can be omitted.

5. Sprinkle in ground cinnamon or add a couple of cinnamon sticks (just remember to remove them after the filling is cooked).

6. Gently mix the entire contents of the container and simmer on medium heat for about 5-8 minutes, until the fruit slices release juice and simmer until soft. Then turn off the heating.

7. Unfold the sheets of pita bread, visually divide into three parts and on one of them, the most extreme, pour the bread crumbs - they are needed in order to absorb the juice of the filling, otherwise the dish will "float".

8. Put all the prepared filling on top of them. Preheat oven to 200 degrees.

9. Roll the sides inward, then roll the stuffed pita bread into a roll. If some of the juice from the filling remains in the pan, then grease the surface of the workpiece with it. If not, then simply coat with butter.

10. Place the piece on a baking sheet and send to the preheated oven. Bake for about 12-15 minutes until golden brown. Since the filling inside the lavash is ready, there is no need to bake the roll for a long time. Remove the finished apple strudel from the oven, let it cool slightly.

11. Be sure to sprinkle with powdered sugar.

Slice the lazy apple strudel into portions and serve for dessert with hot coffee, tea or a scoop of ice cream.
