A simple, year-round recipe for lovers of light, fresh and healthy food. French salad with apple and carrot is appropriate on fasting days, for treats at a bachelorette party or as a vitamin snack. Serving is meant immediately after cooking: due to the juice of fruits and vegetables, all layers are soaked instantly.

Ingredients:

Apple - 1 pc.

Carrots - 1 pc.

Egg - 1 pc.

Onions - 0.5 pcs.

Hard cheese - 50 g

Mayonnaise (light) - 40 g

Salt, hot pepper - to taste

Step by step recipe:

Step 1 - To make a French salad with an apple and carrot at home, take the foods on the list. Choose strong, sweet and sour and juicy apples of green varieties, in season - young carrots, you can not peel this, but only thoroughly wash and scrub with a sponge. Do not neglect onions, they will give the necessary moderate spiciness and will not allow the savory dish to turn into a dessert.

Step 2 - Collect such a salad in layers, alternating products, or mix immediately with mayonnaise and spices, like any other multicomponent mix. You decide. You can fill portion containers (for each eater separately) or one large salad bowl. First, drop the onion chopped into small cubes at the bottom of the selected dish. Cover with mayonnaise sauce, salt and pepper to taste. For spices and mayonnaise, do your own thing (how much and when to add). If you find the onions too harsh, scald them first or use sweet salad varieties. In my opinion, it is ideal with fresh onions without scalding, but with a small amount.

Step 3 - With the next wide ball, distribute the apple grated with large shavings (two or three small ones are required). Before peeling it. Put some mayonnaise on the apple layer.

Step 4 - Fall asleep with hard or semi-hard cheese, also chopped on a grater, but with smaller holes.

Step 5 - Next, cover with raw carrots, grated with thin shavings. We cover again with mayonnaise, if necessary - salt and pepper.

Step 6 - Close all layers with a hard boiled egg - three on a grater. Done!

Decorate fresh French salad with apple and carrot with green leaves and serve.
