Many people remember the taste of jelly from childhood. Many people like its delicate texture and pleasant aroma. And I think that such dishes have been undeservedly forgotten. After all, homemade drinks are much healthier than purchased drinks with dyes and various preservatives. It is very simple to make jelly at home, the main thing is to stock up on berries and it is better that they are of different types, and which to use, fresh or frozen - it's up to you to decide. To make the drink really good, you need to cook a delicious base (compote) for it, and then add the starch. The density of the finished jelly will depend on its quantity, and as a result we can get either a drink or a dessert.

Ingredients:

Frozen berries - 1 glass

Sugar - 3 tablespoons

Starch - 2 tablespoons

Water - 1 liter

Step by step recipe:

1. To prepare jelly from frozen berries and starch, prepare the necessary set of ingredients.

2. Pour the required amount of water into a small saucepan and boil. Add frozen berries without first defrosting them. Bring the contents of the saucepan to a boil, add sugar and cook over low heat for 10 minutes. The amount of sugar is indicated in approximate proportions, add it based on the acidity of the selected berries. If you are using store-bought berry sets instead of homemade products, then it is better to rinse them under running water and check for rot, twigs, leaves and various debris.

3. Strain the compote through a fine sieve and rub the berries with a spoon so that the shells and seeds do not get into the liquid. Pour the compote separated from the cake back into the pan and send to the fire.

4. Dissolve the potato starch in 1/3 cup of cold water until smooth.

5. In a thin stream, stirring constantly so that no lumps form, pour the mixture of water and starch into the berry broth.

6. Boil the jelly over low heat for 2-3 minutes and remove the pan from heat.

7. A delicious drink made from frozen berries can be served on the table.

Pour the jelly into glasses and treat your relatives. Hot it will be more liquid, and when it cools down, it will thicken a little, but at the same time it will be possible to drink it even through a straw.
