Hello honest people. The Mimosa salad, despite the hackneyed and simple ingredients, evokes warm, nostalgic feelings in me. It was cooked by my mother and I really liked it as a child. Over the years, I managed to try a lot of different things, but my love for this simple Soviet salad has not disappeared. And periodically, in one modification or another, I cook it at home.

You will need:

Canned fish - 1 can

Hard cheese - loor

Chicken eggs - 5pcs

Potatoes - 4pcs

Bulb onion - 1pc

Carrots - 2pcs

Mayonnaise - 200g

Dill or parsley - optional

How to cook:

 Step 1 of 11
Step 1 of 11

Prepare food in advance. This is a guarantee that in a hurry you will not forget anything.

Step 2 of 11
Step 2 of 11

Boil hard boiled eggs. To do this, place them one at a time in boiling salted water and cook for 10 minutes. Then pour cold water and clean.

Step 3 of 11
Step 3 of 11

Boil potatoes and carrots until tender, and peel as they cool.

Step 4 of 11
Step 4 of 11

Cut the eggs lengthwise and divide into white and yolk. Grate the protein on a fine grater. This one, as I have shown, is convenient. Grate the yolk separately and fold in different bowls.

Step 5 of 11
Step 5 of 11

Grate cheese, potatoes and carrots.

Step 6 of 11
Step 6 of 11

Chop the onion as small as possible. Try it. If spicy, pour cold water for 5-7 minutes, and then put on a sieve. This will keep it crispy but lose its bitterness.

Step 7 of 11
Step 7 of 11

Put everything in different bowls. Drain the fish and mash with a fork.

Step 8 of 11
Step 8 of 11

It's time to collect the salad. This can be done both in a salad bowl and in portioned bowls. And you can, as in the photo, in the open, in portions.

The first layer is fish, on top is a spoon mayonnaise. The second layer is proteins. Next - carrots, greased with mayonnaise, on top of which are onions.

Step 9 of 11
Step 9 of 11

The next layer is potatoes, it needs to be slightly salted and greased with mayonnaise. On top is grated cheese, on which boiled grated yolk is carefully poured.

Now all that remains is to send the salad to the refrigerator for a couple of hours.

Step 10 of 11
Step 10 of 11

Mimosa salad with canned food and cheese is ready.

Step 11 of 11

Bon Appetit!

Technical issues and replacements

  • Canned fish can be saury, mackerel, tuna, and so on. Who loves what.
  • Some variations of this salad omit carrots. You are already looking here yourself. I'm putting.

conclusions

Good old "Mimosa", what can I say. For people nostalgic for childhood or the Soviet Union. Perfect for watching "The Adventures of Shurik" and "Vasily Ivanovich, who became a downshifter." You get the idea). I suggest you cook and refresh your memories.

Be healthy and cheerful. Your Bra.
