Salad with crab sticks and croutons

For lovers of mayonnaise salads, I offer a recipe for a delicious and original dish based on crab sticks with bread croutons. What makes it special is the Korean-style carrots: crispy, spicy and flavored with spicy marinade. Try it for friendly dinners and with a glass of alcoholic drink - what you need.

Ingredients:

Crab sticks - 6 pcs.

Bread croutons - 40 g

Korean carrots - 100 g

Egg - 1 pc.

Garlic - 1 tooth

Lemon juice - 1 tsp l.

Mayonnaise - 30 g

Greens - 20 g

Salt, hot pepper - to taste

Step by step recipe:

Step 1 - To prepare a salad with crab sticks and croutons, take the foods on the list. Korean carrots can be pickled on their own in advance. The main thing is that the straws are thin, flexible, soaked in coriander, pepper, garlic, a characteristic sweet-salty note. The same goes for bread croutons. Rye, wheat, with bran, seasoned with spices or unleavened, dried in a pan, in oven or fried with vegetable oil (croutons), homemade or purchased snacks - you decide. All sorts of things are good for a snack

Step 2 - We transfer the heap of carrots to a bowl, while squeezing out the marinade - the dish does not need excess moisture. If you like it sharper, add an additional garlic clove or two. Chop the peeled garlic finely and finely or press through a press.

Step 3 - Cut the thawed crab sticks into small cubes. Dip the frozen ones in boiling water for half a minute - do not cook, scald or thaw well in advance.

Step 4 - Pre-cooked hard-boiled, cooled and peeled egg, chopped randomly or with three shavings.

Step 5 - Season with a portion of mayonnaise, chopped fresh herbs, salt, ground pepper (remember that Korean carrots are already saturated, try along the way), as well as lemon juice (or white wine vinegar).

Step 6 - Mix, cover all ingredients with mayonnaise. Croutons quickly absorb the dressing, so we keep them separate for now.

Step 7 - For an ordinary feast, salad can be served immediately in a salad bowl: fill a container with it and scatter bread crumbs on top. If a neater appearance is expected, first tamp it inside the forming ring / square in the form of a clear and voluminous figure. Then garnish with croutons, mayonnaise and fresh herbs.

Serve the salad with croutons and crab sticks immediately.
