Whipped up cabbage pie is a baking everyone can handle. Even the one who faces the test for the first time. The pie is prepared in an elementary way, you do not have to pre-fry or boil the filling. Everything is quite simple and fast, the main thing is to have the right products and a desire to please yourself and your household. So let's get started...
Ingredients:
Kefir - 1 glass
Baking powder - 1 tsp
Salt - 0.5 tsp
Chicken egg - 2 pcs.
White cabbage - 250 g.
Wheat flour - 2/3 cup
Dill - 3 branches
Step by step recipe:
Prepare the food listed for the recipe. When choosing cabbage, pay attention to its density, sheet thickness and color. The head of cabbage should be firm, with light thin leaves.
Wheat flour is best used of the highest quality, sifting it several times through a fine sieve along with baking powder.
The first step is to do the dough - the base of the pie. In a deep bowl, combine warm kefir, salt and chicken eggs. Use a whisk or fork to smooth the mixture.
Stir in sifted wheat flour and baking powder. Stir again and set the dough aside. In its structure, it should resemble thick sour cream.
Separate the required amount of cabbage from the whole head of cabbage and chop it into thin, long strips. Rinse the dill under cold running water, shake off excess liquid and chop finely. Combine the dough with dill and cabbage.
Stir and place in a baking dish. The cake will rise a little during baking, so pick the correct shape and line it with parchment.
Baking is prepared at 180 degrees in a preheated oven for about 30 - 40 minutes, until golden brown.
After the time has passed, a delicious cabbage pie will be ready. Remove from mold and let cool completely. It is best to put it on a wire rack so that the bottom does not get wet.
Cut the cabbage pie into small pieces and serve.
Despite the fact that the baked goods are savory, they are great for tea. It is very tasty to taste such a pie with sour cream or various sauces based on it.
Bon Appetit!
