Beef in soy sauce in a grill pan

A well-chosen marinade for meat can significantly change the taste of a familiar dish. The soy sauce perfectly enhances the taste of the beef in this recipe, making it not only spicier, but also softer. On its basis, a marinade for meat is created, in which it should be marinated and fried. In addition to soy sauce, the marinade includes honey, garlic and oil. It is honey that allows you to create a glossy appetizing crust during frying.

This dish does not require the addition of vegetables, I do not recommend serving it with side dishes. The best addition to this roast beef is a glass of dry red wine. It will not overshadow the taste of meat, but only emphasize it.

Ingredients:

Beef - 500 gr.

Soy sauce - 4 tablespoons

Liquid honey - 1 tbsp.

Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons

Garlic - 2 teeth

Salt - a pinch

Ground pepper mixture - 1 tsp

White sesame - 1 tsp

How to cook:

Cut the meat pulp from the bone (if any), remove with a knife any film and thick fat layers (it is better to leave thin ones so that the meat is juicier). Rinse the resulting beef under running water, blot the moisture on top with a napkin. Then chop it into small pieces (about the size of a box of matches). You can choose the shape at your discretion - strips, squares and so on, as long as the pieces are not too thick.

Create a separate marinade to marinate and roast the meat. Pour the required amount of soy sauce into a small bowl, add garlic, peeled and chopped under a special press, to it.

Next, pour in liquid honey in the required amount. If the honey product used has crystallized as a result of long-term storage, be sure to melt it in a water bath.

Step 5 of 10

Pour in odorless vegetable oil into the mixture. It will bind all the components of the marinade together and allow the resulting mixture to be well absorbed into the beef fibers. Mix everything thoroughly, distributing honey as much as possible.

Step 6 of 10
Step 6 of 10

Place the slices of meat in a deep plate, pour over the marinade so that it completely covers the product, then stir. Sprinkle the contents of the container with pepper, throw in the salt as needed, but note that the marinade is already salty due to the soy sauce. Over-salted meat can come out dry, so add the salt necessary for taste after frying.

Leave the beef in this state for 2 hours, you can even overnight (in the refrigerator), this will only make it softer. But in the absence of time, it is permissible to start frying immediately.

Step 7 of 10
Step 7 of 10

After a while, the meat can be fried, both in a regular frying pan and in a grill pan or electric grill. Preheat the selected container to the maximum, place the beef pieces along with the marinade. Fry over high heat for literally 2 minutes on each side.

No oil is added to the grill pan; you can simply apply a thin layer of oil to a regular pan with a silicone brush.

Step 8 of 10
Step 8 of 10

Due to strong heating, the pieces will quickly fry on top, leaving all the juices inside, so the pulp will be juicy and soft.

Sprinkle the cooked meat in soy sauce with white sesame seeds, pour over the pomegranate sauce.
