Over the years, the classic chicken recipe, which is quite difficult to prepare, has become much simpler. In modern cooking, there are many different variations in the preparation of this cake, where both the dough and the filling differ.

Today we cook chicken dough with kefir. It is particularly soft, it can be stored for a long time in the refrigerator, while not losing its taste. In addition to chicken, we will use potatoes and onions as a filling.

Since kurnik is considered a royal pie, it just needs to be made beautiful, that is, be sure to decorate it on top.

Ingredients:

For the test:

Kefir - 250 ml.

Butter - 180 gr.

Flour - 650 gr.

Salt - 0.5 tsp

Baking soda - 0.5 tsp

For filling:

Chicken (fillet) - 350 gr.

Potatoes - 200 gr.

Bulb onions - 1 pc.

Butter - 20 gr.

Salt and pepper to taste.

To lubricate the chicken coaster:

Egg yolk - 1 pc.

Water - 1 tbsp.

Prepare the required foods from the list.

Pour kefir at room temperature into a deep bowl, immediately add soda to it, stir vigorously.

Melt the butter in a microwave oven or water bath. After cooling, pour it into kefir, stir.

Sift the flour through a sieve, add in small portions to the liquid composition.

First stir the dough with a spoon. When it becomes difficult to stir, start kneading it with your hands, gradually adding flour. You should have a soft and pliable dough that will stick slightly to your hands. Wrap it in plastic wrap, load it into the freezer for 30 minutes to freeze slightly.

Rinse the chicken fillet, cut into small pieces. Peel the potato tubers from the top layer, wash, chop into triangular slices.

Load the chicken and potatoes into a deep bowl. Peel the onion, chop it finely, put it in a container. Mix all the ingredients, add pepper and salt to taste.

Grind a large-diameter board with flour, lay the frozen dough. Separate ΒΌ part from the main piece, set aside for a while. Roll out the rest of the mass with a rolling pin, getting a thin round layer with smooth edges.

Lubricate the split form with vegetable oil, covering the bottom and walls. Lay the rolled dough inside, forming the sides.

Place the filling on the base of the dough - a mixture of potatoes, chicken and onions. Flatten. To make the filling juicier, place a few slices of butter on top.

Roll the rest of the dough into a thin circle in diameter slightly smaller than the shape (leave a small part for sculpting decorations on the top of the cake). Fasten the sides with the edges of the upper layer, forming beautiful patterns. Make a small hole in the center of the cake for the steam to escape.
