Usually roast is simmered in pots in the oven, but it is permissible to stew it in a saucepan - this is a more simplified version of the dish. We take beef as meat, its main addition will be potatoes, minor additions - onions and carrots. The mixture of ingredients is stewed in a tomato, thanks to which the dish has a pronounced sourness.

Ingredients:
Potatoes - 800 gr.
Beef - 500 gr.
Onions - 1 pc.
Carrots - 1 pc.
Tomato paste - 2 tablespoons
Vegetable oil - 40 ml.
Salt, pepper - to taste
Water - 500 ml.
How to cook:
Prepare the required foods from the list.
Rinse the beef, cut into free-form medium-sized pieces. Preheat a frying pan in parallel on the stove, pour in oil, lower the meat. Roast the beef over high heat for 5 minutes, turning occasionally from side to side. Then season with pepper and salt.
In the meantime, prepare the vegetables - peel and wash. Grate the carrots or cut into cubes, chop the onion into squares.
Throw vegetables to meat, reduce heat. Cook the ingredients together for another 3 minutes. Add oil if necessary.
Next, load the tomato paste, pour in the water. Stir. Simmer the mixture in a skillet for 10 minutes, then pour it into the pan.
Peel the potato tubers from the top rind, cut into medium-sized cubes.
Load the potatoes into a saucepan, mix. Bring the roast to a boil, bring it to the desired taste by adding salt. After reducing the heat, cover the container with a lid. Simmer for about 40 minutes.
Stir from time to time, as if separating the vegetables and meat from the bottom and sides so that they do not burn.
Garnish with herbs before serving.
