Ingredients:
Water - 2.1 L
Apples - 3 pcs.
Apricots - 4 pcs.
Sugar - 150 g
Step by step recipe:
To replenish stocks for the winter with delicious apple and apricot compote, take the products on the list. The total output volume is 2.2 liters. Can be packaged in cans of different sizes.
The more aromatic the fruit, the tastier the drink itself. Choose ripe, fragrant, sour. If necessary, change the amount of sugar, add citric acid.
All containers, jars and lids must be sterile.
First we wash the fruits, we leave only ripe for long-term storage blanks, without rot and damage. Slicing can be any, but remove the core of apples and apricot pits. Chop the pulp into slices, not too thin. Drinking compote, many people use the fruit as a filling for sweet pastries.
We load the fruit pieces into sterile jars without cracks or chips. The concentration of the drink is easy to adjust. More fruits - richer compote, but less liquid. And vice versa.
Pour boiling water to the top, put on sterile lids (do not seal), steam for 10 minutes.
Gently pour the still hot water into a saucepan, add granulated sugar, put on fire. Boil, boil for 3 minutes until the sugar dissolves.
We leave the scalded fruits in jars under the thrown-over lids, we do not allow them to lose sterility.
Re-fill with a sweet composition. We close it hermetically, turn it over, check for a leak, and at the same time pour boiling water over the neck with a lid. Wrap up with heat-resistant cloth and cool slowly.
After cooling, we transfer the jars with apple and apricot compote for storage in a cool room.
