Sitting at home in quarantine, all food becomes boring, even the most delicious products from constant sitting at home, become insipid, and in order to somehow entertain yourself, you begin to invent different goodies yourself.
On my page, you could read a recipe for a festive roll with spinach and salmon. The roll turned out to be delicious, but I always like a little spicier, a little saltier. Today I will share a recipe that looks as good as spinach roll. But half the price, and it tasted very interesting to me. I did it the first time, so I used fewer products than in the recipe, and it turned out to be small.
For the roll we need:
- Beets - 1pc.
- Eggs - 2 pcs.
- Starch - 60 gr. (you can use flour)
- Salt pepper
- Cream cheese -100gr.
- Sour cream - 50 gr.
- Herring - 1 package
- Dill
First, rub the beets on a fine grater and transfer them to a salad bowl.
Separate the yolk from the protein in the eggs. Add the yolks once to the beets and mix well, salt and pepper.
Add starch.
Beat the whites until peaks, and very carefully mix the protein into our dough.
Add 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil to our dough.
Put the dough on a baking sheet covered with baking paper and put it in an oven preheated to 190 degrees for 10-13 minutes.
The dough should not dry out in the oven. It should be slightly elastic when pressed.
Remove the paper from the test and let the cake cool.
Mix cream cheese with sour cream. If the cheese is not very thick, then sour cream is not needed. I add a little, just because the mascarpone is very thick, and I'll just tear the cake if I immediately smear it on the cake.
I add finely chopped greens to the cheese.
The dough is cold and I spread the dill cheese on the crust.
I spread the herring on top, and fold the roll.
It must be wrapped in plastic wrap and sent to the refrigerator.
In a few hours, when the roll has cooled down, it will become a terrific appetizer to your table.
The beets will give the roll a reddish purple hue. Butter cream will make the roll very tender, but at the same time, the herring will add pungency and piquancy. I like it! And I advise you!
Bon Appetit everyone!
