Cooking pork on the bone in the oven is a snap. You can generally not use any seasonings besides salt and it will turn out to be quite tasty. What could be tastier than good baked meat? And if you use some kind of marinade, you get delicious!
Today I will show an example of using vegetable salad as a marinade in tomato sauce from blanks for the winter - I think that fans of home canning will like it. I baked pork in this way several times - the meat always turns out to be the most tender, just melting in the mouth. You can take a winter salad to your taste: sweet, spicy, more neutral. You can do it easier: take ketchup or diluted tomato paste.
Ingredients:
- Pork on the bone - 500 g
- Vegetable sauce in tomato type "Ankle Bens" - 200 g
- Italian Herb Blend - 3 g
- Nutmeg - 0.5 g
- Salt - 2 g
Grab a couple of boneless pork cutlets and additions on the list.
Rinse the meat and dry well with a napkin. You will need a deep baking dish with a lid, or if there is no lid, use a sheet of foil. Add vegetable salad to the meat. Its components can be kneaded or left intact.
Add a couple of pinches of dry Italian herb blend and grate the nutmeg. Rub the mixture well into the meat, add a little salt and send to marinate under the lid for half an hour to 2 hours.
After the time has elapsed, place the meat in an oven heated to 200 degrees for 1 hour, covering with a lid. About 15 minutes before cooking, remove the lid and lightly bake the surface of the pork.
Remove the cooked boneless pork on a platter, sprinkle with herbs and serve with garnish or without it. Serve separately the sauce in which the meat was baked. The melted fat will rise up - you can drain it if you do not want to eat a lot of fat.
Cutlets on the bone usually contain fatty layers, and the fat from them is melted during baking and turns into a sauce, which can be cooled and removed from the fat formed on the surface.
Pork according to this recipe is the most delicate, delicious, fragrant with aromas of herbs and nutmeg.
