The combination of cherry and chocolate is a classic taste. And a cake with such ingredients turns out to be insanely delicious. Try it too!

For a more sophisticated taste, you can add some chopped and toasted almonds to the biscuit.

Ingredients:

For a biscuit:

  • Eggs - 4 pcs.
  • Sugar - 230 gr.
  • Flour - 230 gr.
  • Butter - 80 gr.
  • Milk - 160 gr.
  • Cocoa - 3 tbsp. l.
  • Soda - ΒΌ tsp l.
  • Vanillin - a pinch

For filling:

  • Cream 33% - 500 gr.
  • Powdered sugar - 150 gr.
  • Cherries - 350 gr.

To make a delicious chocolate cherry cake, the first step is to bake a biscuit. To do this, prepare all the ingredients. Measure out sugar, butter and milk. Sift the flour through a sieve.

Combine eggs and sugar in a beating bowl. Beat for 3-4 minutes until the mass expands and becomes fluffy.

In parallel with this, put milk and butter on the fire. Bring everything to a boil. Then leave on the stove for a couple of minutes over low heat so that the butter melts completely and mixes with the milk.

In the egg mass, add flour with soda and vanilla, as well as milk mass in three doses. Then add cocoa. Knead the dough by hand using a whisk to keep it fluffy.

Pour the finished chocolate dough into a 20 cm baking dish and place in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for 50-60 minutes. Watch your oven. The finished biscuit will bounce when pressed and regain its shape.

Cool the baked goods completely, wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for several hours. During this time, she will lie down and it will be easier to work with her.

Before assembling the cake, cut the sponge cake into 4 cakes.

Prepare everything you need for the filling. If the cherries are frozen, then they must be defrosted. Do not pour out the juice. It is useful for soaking the cakes.

Now combine the heavy cream with the icing sugar and beat until a fluffy, stable cream is obtained.

Soak the chocolate cakes with cherry juice, coat with butter cream and lay out the berries.
