Fried homemade pies with cottage cheese

If there is a smell of fresh pastries in the house, then this brings coziness and harmony. Baking pies is what our grandmothers gave us. Nowadays, more and more often we buy them ready-made, but the taste of homemade pies, cooked with love, nothing can replace.

One of the most delicious and healthy fillings for such baking is cottage cheese.

Ingredients:

For the test:

  • Live yeast - 30 gr.
  • Milk - 320 ml.
  • Sugar - 2 tbsp. l.
  • Flour - 3 tbsp.
  • Egg yolk - 2 pcs.
  • Vegetable oil - 2 tbsp. l.

For filling:

  • Cottage cheese - 200 gr.
  • Sugar - 2 tbsp. l.
  • Egg yolk - 1 pc.

Additionally:

  • Vegetable oil for frying - 150 ml.

Prepare all the ingredients for making cottage cheese patties. Sift the flour through a sieve to enrich it with oxygen. Heat the milk until warm.

Combine warm milk with yeast to make yeast dough. Stir well to dissolve the latter in the liquid.

Then add salt and sugar. Pour in some vegetable oil. Begin to add flour and knead the dough.

The finished dough will be very soft and tender. It shouldn't stick to your hands. Place the dough in a warm place, dust a little with flour and cover with a towel or lid. Let it sit warm for an hour. During this time, the dough should increase in size by 2 times.

For the filling, combine soft cottage cheese with sugar and yolk. Stir with a fork. No need to beat, as the mass will become liquid and it will be impossible to put it into the filling.

Cut the dough into small patty cakes. Place some curd filling in the center of each and pinch the edges. Let the blanks lie on the table for 10 minutes.

Step 7 of 10

Pour vegetable oil into a deep frying pan, heat until hot and add the pies. Fry them until golden brown on all sides over medium heat.

Cool the finished pies a little and help yourself.

These cottage cheese pies can be baked in the oven. To do this, put them on a baking sheet and brush the top a little with yolk. Bake at 180 ° C.

Yeast baked goods are very tasty to eat with milk or juice.
