In the modern world, all types of pickled mushrooms can be purchased in stores. But, this appetizer can be prepared without any problems in your kitchen. There are a number of advantages - the minimum composition of ingredients is used, the preparation is spent at all a little time, and at the price of homemade pickled mushrooms will come out cheaper than purchased in store. You can also independently control the amount of spices, adjusting the appetizer to your taste.

So, today we marinate the well-known oyster mushrooms. After pickling, these mushrooms completely retain their appearance, remain the same elastic, acquire a sweet and sour taste thanks to the marinade. The appetizer according to this recipe does not require long marinating, it can be consumed immediately after cooling.

Ingredients:

Oyster mushrooms - 600 gr.

Bulb onions - 1 pc.

Garlic - 2 cloves

Water - 250 ml.

Vegetable oil - 50 ml.

Salt - 0.7 tablespoons

Sugar - 1 tablespoon

Peppercorns - 4 pcs.

Bay leaf - 2 pcs.

Vinegar - 50 ml.

Step by step recipe:

To quickly marinate oyster mushrooms, prepare all the necessary foods.

Wash the mushrooms thoroughly under running water, cut into large pieces. Small slices will not work, since oyster mushrooms will decrease in size after heat treatment.

Pour water into a saucepan of a suitable volume, set the container on fire. Pour in oil closer to boiling. Next, add peppercorns, bay leaves, garlic, cut into slices. Pour in sugar and salt, mix thoroughly, dissolving the grains as much as possible. Boil the marinade for 1 minute, add the vinegar at the end.

Dip the prepared mushrooms into the boiling marinade. Set the fire to a minimum, close the pan tightly with a lid. Simmer oyster mushrooms for 10 minutes.

It's okay if the marinade has not covered all the mushrooms; after blanching, they will release the juice and decrease in volume.

Do not lift the lid during cooking, do not stir the oyster mushrooms.

Remove the husk from the head of the onion, cut the vegetable into thin feathers. Add the onion slices to the base container 2 minutes before the end of the cooking process.

After removing from the heat, cool the mushrooms completely and then refrigerate them.
