Waffles in a Soviet waffle iron

The preparation of such waffles comes to us from the distant Soviet childhood. By the way, on this waffle iron I learned to bake them at school for labor lessons. How long has it been... But the taste of the waffles is still attractive!

Ingredients:

  • Eggs - 3 pcs.
  • Butter - 120 gr.
  • Sugar - 120 gr.
  • Flour - 100 gr.

Prepare the required amount of ingredients for making waffles. Remove the butter from the refrigerator beforehand so that it warms up and becomes soft. Sift the flour through a sieve to saturate it with oxygen.

Combine soft butter with sugar and beat with a mixer until fluffy. It will brighten a little when beating.

Add eggs to the butter and stir into the dough.

Then add flour.

The finished dough will become thick enough, but it will still run slightly.

As you can see, my waffle iron is of real Soviet production. She is over 20 years old.

Preheat the waffle iron until hot and pour in 1 tablespoon of dough. Close the lid immediately and let sit for a couple of minutes for the waffle to cook.

Ready-made waffles can be rolled into tubes in order to fill them with any filling in the future. But they must be rolled hot immediately. When cooled, they will become hard.

Or you can just leave the baked goods in the form of flat waffles.
