Ingredients:
Butter - 100 g
Sugar - 200 g
Wheat flour - 180 g
Baking powder - 1 tsp
Strawberry - 400 g
Corn starch - 1.5 tablespoons
Chicken egg - 1 pc.
Vanillin - 1 pinch
Step by step recipe:
We prepare the necessary ingredients. Cornstarch can be substituted for packaged vanilla pudding. Rinse the strawberries with running water, let them drain, remove the sepals.
Combine dry foods in a bowl: wheat flour, sugar (50 grams), baking powder and vanillin. We mix.
Add cold butter, which we cut into cubes. We grind everything into crumbs very quickly so that the butter does not have time to melt.
Add a chicken egg to the resulting crumb and mix quickly. We get a soft and slightly sticky dough. We wrap it in plastic wrap and put it in the refrigerator while we prepare the filling.
Cut the berries into 2-4 pieces, depending on the size, put them in a bowl. Add sugar (the remaining 150 grams) and starch to the strawberries. We mix. The pie filling is ready.
We turn on the oven to warm up to 180 degrees. Cover the baking dish with parchment. Cut off ΒΌ part from the dough. We distribute most of it with our hands in shape, forming the sides. My diameter is 22 cm.
Put the strawberry filling on the dough.
Spread the remaining dough in slices over the strawberries. We put the cake to bake in the oven.
We keep it there until tender, about 40-45 minutes. Let the finished baked goods cool in the form, then take out.
Our open strawberry pie is ready. Before serving, cut into portions.
