Green tea with lemon and ginger - there is a benefit in every ingredient, and if you combine them in one cup, you get a real elixir for strengthening health, increasing immunity and even losing weight. There is a noticeable pungency in the drink, but it can always be corrected by adding less ginger.

Ingredients

Green tea (large leaf) - 2 tsp

Water - 800 ml

Ginger (fresh) - 25 gr

Lemon (slices) - 4 pcs.

Honey - 2 tsp

Mint - to taste

Step by step recipe:

1. Prepare ingredients, boil water and let cool slightly. The water temperature for brewing green tea should be about 80 degrees.

2. Pour green tea into a kettle previously scalded with boiling water or into a French press. Peel and grate the ginger and put it in the kettle too.

3. Pour the prepared water over the ginger tea.

4. Close the kettle with a lid and let it brew for 3-5 minutes. During this time, the tea leaves will open and, together with the ginger, will give their taste and aroma to the drink.

5. Pour ginger tea into cups.

6. Add a slice of lemon to each cup.

7. And half a teaspoon of honey. Add a sprig of mint if desired. Stir the drink and serve immediately while still hot.

Unlike black tea, green tea can be brewed several times, provided that no more than two hours have passed since the first brewing. Therefore, pouring it into cups, add more hot water to the teapot and let it sit for a few minutes to brew again.

Enjoy your tea!
