Turkey stew with prunes is a spicy dish. You can cook in different ways, as well as use any part of the bird - whole carcass, pieces with bone, fillet. In this recipe, we use a boneless turkey sirloin cut into pieces. To prevent the meat from getting tough and dry, add sour cream during stewing. The dish will undoubtedly add spice to any side dish.
Ingredients:
- Turkey fillet - 500 gr.
- Prunes - 200 gr.
- Sour cream - 100 gr.
- Onions - 1 pc.
- Vegetable oil - 3 tablespoons
- Salt, ground pepper - to taste
Prepare ingredients according to the list.
Remove the husk from the onion head, chop the vegetable into thin quarters, fry in oil for 2 minutes, stirring with a spatula.
Rinse the turkey fillet, blot the moisture with a napkin. Cut off the layers of fat, remove the film. Cut the meat into medium pieces of approximately the same shape and size.
Throw the turkey slices over the onion, fry together for 5 minutes. Salt the meat, add more oil if necessary.
Cut the prunes into 2 or 4 parts, after a while add to the pan to the turkey and onion.
After a few minutes of frying, add sour cream, sprinkle the mixture with ground pepper.
Pour in 1 glass of water, stir well to distribute the sour cream over the liquid base. Simmer the turkey with prunes in sour cream for the next 20 minutes under a lid on low heat. Add water if necessary. Taste the yushka, adjust the amount of salt and pepper yourself.
After stewing, leave the dish for another 10 minutes.
Transfer the turkey and prunes to a plate, sprinkle with herbs or pomegranate seeds.
