Lightweight and versatile lentil salad

Today I suggest you make a delicious and simple lentil salad. The recipe is pretty easy, everyone will love it. The basis is lentils, which we boil beforehand until cooked, then add vegetables and herbs to it. It will turn out at the same time filling and easy, as a lunch, just a great option.

You can serve steak or baked fish with this salad. For dressing, you can use whatever you want - butter, sour cream or yogurt. You can also always experiment with spices and herbs.

Ingredients:

  • Lentils - 0.5 cups
  • Water - 1.5 l
  • Cherry tomatoes - 3 pcs.
  • Cucumbers - 1 pc.
  • Sweet pepper - 0.5 pcs.
  • Greens to taste
  • Salt, pepper - to taste
  • Vegetable oil - 1 tbsp.
  • Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon

Prepare all the products, you should take care of the lentils in advance.

Pour beans into a saucepan, add plenty of water, put on fire. Cook the lentils according to the instructions on the package - 20-30 minutes over low heat. After a while, try it for readiness. Then fold it onto a sieve, let the excess liquid drain.

Rinse the fresh cucumber and dry. Cut into small wedges.

When the liquid has drained and the lentils have cooled, transfer them to a deep bowl.

Add cucumbers to it. Rinse the tomatoes, cut into slices, send to the salad.

Peel the bell peppers, cut into strips, transfer to a bowl. Rinse the dill and dry, chop it up, add to the rest of the ingredients.

Season the salad with butter and soy sauce. After adding salt, pepper, you can have a little garlic.

Stir everything and serve the salad to the table.
