Mousse desserts come from French cuisine. To obtain a stable fluffy mass, they use gelatin, whipped proteins or semolina.

A properly prepared banana mousse always looks very beautiful and elegant, so it can be served on a festive table as well. And for a children's party, it can be made in the form of trifles.

Ingredients:

  • Bananas - 2 pcs.
  • Cream 33% - 200 gr.
  • Powdered sugar - 50 gr.
  • Lemon juice - 2 tbsp l.
  • Gelatin - 6 gr.
  • Water - 40 ml.

Prepare all the ingredients you need to make the banana mousse. Measure out the powdered sugar and gelatin. Take the ripe bananas.

Pour gelatin into a small bowl and cover with cold water. Stir and set aside for 30 minutes. During this time, it will absorb all the water and swell.

Heat gelatin in the microwave until hot before use. In this case, it will become liquid and all will dissolve.

Peel the bananas, break into pieces and place in a chopper. To keep them from darkening, sprinkle them with a little lemon juice.

Turn bananas into a smooth smoothie.

For the cream, whisk the heavy cream with the icing sugar.

Place the whipped cream in the mashed banana and stir well with a spatula or whisk.

You should get a smooth, thick banana mass. Introduce the loose gelatin into it and beat a little with a mixer.

Spread the finished banana mousse in the bowls and refrigerate for 1 hour. During this time, it will harden and keep its shape well.

The finished mousse is airy, soft and porous. Garnish with chocolate chips or a mint leaf to your liking before serving.
