If you have a package of ready-made puff pastry, then you can always quickly prepare something for tea. Due to the fact that the semi-finished product consists of many layers, the products from it are tender, airy, very tasty and with a crispy crust.
Puff pastry can be prepared with various fillings, but one of the most popular is cottage cheese. Envelopes with cottage cheese are not only very tasty, but also quite healthy.
Try to cook them too!
Ingredients:
- Puff pastry - 500 gr.
- Cottage cheese - 400 gr.
- Egg - 1 pc.
- Sugar - 3 tbsp. l.
- Egg yolk - 1 pc.
- Vanillin - a pinch
Prepare all the necessary ingredients to make the curd puffs. If you are using frozen puff pastry, you must first defrost it. To do this, remove it from the freezer and place it in a warm place. It will thaw very quickly.
Each layer of puff pastry, weighing 250 grams, roll out a little and cut into 6 identical squares.
For the curd filling, combine the curd with the egg. Add sugar and vanillin. Mix everything so that the mass becomes homogeneous.
Place the curd filling in the center of each square. Pinch the corners in the center to form an envelope. Do the same with another layer of dough. As a result, you get 12 envelopes.
Prepare a baking tray. Cover it with cooking paper and lay out all the blanks. Lubricate the envelopes on top, using a brush, with egg yolk. For a crisper crust, you can sprinkle some sugar on the top.
Place the baking sheet in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for 30 minutes.
Cool the finished envelopes with cottage cheese a little and help yourself. Serve them with tea, coffee, cocoa or juice.
