Pollock in tomato sauce

Pollock is not only tasty but also very healthy fish. It must be included in your diet, especially in the autumn-winter period. There are a lot of cooking methods. Today I want to tell you how to cook pollock in tomato sauce. In my opinion, this is the most successful recipe. Fish pieces are lightly fried and then stewed in tomato sauce along with vegetables, thanks to which the fish is very tender and juicy. It can be served not only hot, but also chilled. Mashed potatoes or boiled rice are perfect as a side dish. Try it!

Ingredients:

Pollock s / m - 800 g.

Carrots - 1 pc.

Bulb onion - 1 pc.

Salt to taste

Ground black pepper - to taste

Tomato paste - 1.5 tablespoons

Sugar - 0.5 tsp

Bay leaf - 2 pcs.

Flour - 3 tablespoons

Water - 250 ml.

Vegetable oil for frying - 100 ml.

Step by step recipe:

1. Prepare the required set of products.

2. Defrost pollock at room temperature. Use kitchen scissors to trim the fins and remove the black film from the abdomen. Wash, blot from moisture and cut into portions. Place the fish in a bowl and season with salt and pepper. For a more pronounced taste, you can add a variety of seasonings, as well as freshly squeezed lemon juice. Stir the fish gently, cover the bowl and leave for 15-20 minutes. During this time, pollock should be saturated with spices and saturated with aromas.

3. Then roll the fish pieces in flour and put in a frying pan preheated with vegetable oil.

4. Fry on both sides until golden brown. Transfer the fish from the skillet to a small saucepan or stewpan.

5. Peel the root vegetables. Cut the onion into half rings, grate the carrots on a medium grater. Fry vegetables until soft in vegetable oil.

6. Add tomato paste, bay leaf and water.

7. Mix everything well and salt. Add some sugar to adjust the sourness of the sauce. Bring to a boil and simmer for 5 minutes.

8. Pour the sauce into a saucepan with fish, cover and cook for 15-20 minutes over low heat.

9. A very tasty dish - pollock in tomato sauce - ready.

Serve this fish together with a side dish on portioned plates, top with tomato sauce. A piece of white bread will also come in handy. Recommend.
