A properly selected sauce can change the taste of a dish for the better, emphasize it, give it a creamy or tomato flavor. Today we will consider sour cream pasta sauce.

In the classic version, pasta after boiling often turns out to be dryish, unattractive outwardly, and with such an additive they will be appetizing and juicy - the dish is eaten with pleasure by both adults and children. Moreover, if you are preparing it for the first, then you can additionally press a peeled clove of garlic into the sauce or add dried garlic powder to taste, but this is at the very end of cooking so that it does not weathered.

Ingredients:

Butter - 80 g

Sour cream - 150 ml

Bulb onions - 1 pc.

Warm water - 100 ml

Ground paprika - 0.5 tsp

Dill - 5 branches

Salt and pepper to taste

How to cook:

1. Prepare the food you need. Choose sour cream of any fat content, but high quality, not powdered, otherwise it will stratify into grains during cooking. Be sure to heat this dairy product to room temperature before adding it to the sauce, do not add chilled sour cream to it.

2. Peel the onion head, rinse under running water. Cut in half and chop into small cubes. In a skillet, cauldron or skillet with high sides, melt the butter and add the onion slices. Pass over medium heat until transparent. The onions should not caramelize, only become soft, almost transparent, but not toasted.

3. Rinse the fresh dill, dry lightly with a paper towel and chop. Pour into a container with the ground paprika.

4. Spoon out the sour cream at room temperature so that it does not curl from heat.

5. Pour in warm water, you can even boil water, but if the sour cream is of poor quality, then there is a possibility that it can curdle from this. Season with salt and pepper to taste, reduce heat to low and stir gently.

6. Simmer for about 1-2 minutes, bringing to a boil. At this point, you can add garlic. Taste the dish and turn off the heat. Correct it if necessary. Many people like thick sauces - in this case, you need to stir in 1 tbsp. sifted premium wheat flour. When heated, it will make the dish thicker, but since it is served with pasta, there is no need to add flour.

Pour the sauce into a bowl or serving bowl. Boil the pasta according to the instructions on the pack and season it with cooked sour cream sauce, or serve on a plate with a gravy boat, garnished with fresh herbs.
