Prunes with walnuts in sour cream

The dessert, time-tested and deservedly loved by the new generation of sweets, is prepared without heat treatment and with a minimum set of available products. Surely you are well aware of prunes with walnuts in sour cream. I will repeat the recipe for novice cooks.

Ingredients:

Prunes - 150 g

Walnuts - 100 g

Sour cream - 200 g

Sugar - 30 g

Dark chocolate - 20 g

Mint - 10 g

Step by step recipe:

Step 1 - To cook walnut-stuffed prunes in sour cream, take the foods on the list. The amount of sugar can be changed to taste, as well as being guided by the sweetness of the dried fruit. Sour cream 20% or more is used more often. But even 10% is quite stable in glasses or deep bowls, less calories and gives a fine texture.

Step 2 - Leave the prunes in boiling water for 10 minutes. Thus, we clean dried fruits from dust, saturate them with moisture, make them much softer and more tender. Don't neglect this simple yet essential procedure.

Step 3 - After steaming, transfer the prunes to a napkin, dry for 5 minutes. If dried fruits are pitted, remove them. Moreover, this is much easier to do with swollen specimens. At the same time we crack the nuts, take out the kernels. To reveal the nutty aroma, heat them for 3-4 minutes in a hot frying pan without oil or in an oven.

Step 4 - Instead of seeds, insert a walnut into the cavity of each prune (you can squeeze a few fragments).

Step 5 - Mix sour cream with granulated sugar, try it. Sometimes vanilla sugar is added additionally. In my opinion, the aroma of smoked prunes with an expressive presence of nuts and creamy sour cream is enough for a dessert.

Step 6 - We alternate the prunes stuffed with nut filling with sweet sour cream and fill portion molds / glasses / bowls. Sprinkle with grated dark chocolate, fine nut crumbs and decorate with mint leaves. We keep it on the refrigerator shelf for about an hour, thereby saturating the dried fruits with sour cream filling. By and large, the recipe is easy to simplify: without stuffing, cut the swollen in boiling water and then dried prunes into pieces, mix with crushed nuts and sour cream-sugar sauce. Those with a sweet tooth and lovers of the popular dessert will also be satisfied.

Serve chilled prunes with walnuts in sour cream.
