This delicious, hearty dish was prepared for me by my grandmother for a long time! Many have already forgotten this recipe, and so have I. But just yesterday I opened the refrigerator and I caught sight of cottage cheese and potatoes. I remembered this dish and childhood... I decided to cook these potato cheesecakes for dinner and how delicious it was ...
For those who like to watch the video, I have prepared a short video recipe on how to cook this dish from potatoes and cottage cheese:
This dish has no name. My grandmother called it - potato cheesecakes :)
First you need to boil the potatoes (you can do this in advance).
I put the cottage cheese in a bowl, break one chicken egg. I take a small egg. Weight with shell 50 gr.
I cut the boiled potatoes into pieces and add to the curd. Salt to taste.
I take a potato crush and begin to crush everything until smooth. This is done quickly. My grandmother did it this way - with a crush.
I add flour and stir now with a spoon.
The potato dough is thick and does not fall off the spoon.
I take a tablespoon of dough and form the cheesecakes with my hands.
It turns out 8 pieces.
I heat up a frying pan with butter (it tastes best on it) and fry the potato cheese pancakes on both sides until golden brown. Literally 1-2 minutes on each side.
And this is my cat Vasily, while I cook, he always lies or sits on a chair and controls the process :)
This dish of potatoes and cottage cheese can be prepared for breakfast, lunch or dinner. It turns out very satisfying and inexpensive! And also very gentle.
I usually add green onions or dill to ready-made cheese cakes. It is delicious with sour cream. Bon Appetit!
