Potatoes need to be washed and peeled.
I cut the potatoes into fairly small pieces so they cook quickly. (when there is no time, I do so). You can also cook it whole.
I put the potatoes in a saucepan, add the bay leaf. I always do this, the potatoes are tastier.
I fill it with water, put the pan on the stove and bring it to a boil. Salt a little and cook until tender.
In the meantime, I'll take care of the cottage cheese. Yes Yes! It is the cottage cheese that I add to the potatoes - it's very tasty.
I transfer the cottage cheese to a deep plate, add a tablespoon of cream cheese and a tablespoon of sour cream. If you do not want the dish to have a pleasant sourness, then replace the sour cream with milk.
Salt a little, add nutmeg. Mix with a spoon.
And I "punch" it with a blender so that the curd mass becomes homogeneous. If your cottage cheese is pasty, then you don't need to do this. Or rub the cottage cheese in advance through a sieve. And to cook, just mash the curd mass with a potato grinder.
The potatoes are boiled, I drain the water.
Add the butter and start crushing the potatoes.
I add a grated clove of garlic, curd mass and actively work with a crush!
Mashed potatoes are ready! It turns out very tasty and aromatic. Bon Appetit. If desired, you can add a little milk to make the puree "thinner".
