A step-by-step recipe for making bagels (cookies) with a photo:
I sift 270 grams of flour into a deep bowl, add 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder (can be replaced with baking soda), slightly less than half a teaspoon of salt and a teaspoon of sugar.
If you are very fond of sweets, then I recommend adding more sugar.
You can add more vanillin or cinnamon if desired. Or you may not add it at all.
I make a depression in the flour and pour out 40 milliliters of vegetable oil and 110 milliliters of freshly boiled water.
I knead the dough.
I cover the dough with a towel and give it 25 minutes to "rest".
Time has passed. I divide the dough into 2 parts. I will leave one part under the towel so that it doesn’t get windy.
I remember the dough a little and roll it out with a rolling pin thinly in the shape of a circle.
I cut the dough into 8 triangles. Imagine cutting pizza! 👌
Now we can make absolutely any filling. I'll take dried fruits - dried apricots and prunes. It is not necessary to fill them with boiling water in advance. They will become very soft in the oven! And I'll also take apple slices from jam.
You can take any jam, preferably thick. Or you can just take a piece of butter and sprinkle with sugar.
I wrap the triangle with a wide edge.
It turns out such bagels, well, or cookies😍
I do the same with the second half of the dough. There are 16 bagels in total.
I transfer the bagels to baking paper and grease with strong tea.
I will cook in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for 15 minutes.
