We call this cake "lazy Napoleon". Well, it is very easy to prepare and quickly, almost effortlessly. And Napoleon to taste!
It looks impressive, we cook it in portions, which is very convenient. My husband came up with this recipe about half a year ago. And we liked it so much that we cook it very often.
All you need is ready-made dough, cream, and jam. I also use a little powdered sugar. But you can replace it with more jam.
How to cook:
The finished puff pastry needs to be rolled out quickly with a rolling pin and baked in an oven preheated to 210 degrees for 10-12 minutes. (I have 400 grams of dough).
In the meantime, let's get to the cream. I take 200 gr. 20% cream. It is important that they are cold. Pour into a bowl, add vanillin (this is optional), 50 grams of powdered sugar and beat with a mixer. We don't need to whip to the spikes, the cream thickens a little and that's enough. I send the cream to the refrigerator.
The cake is ready! I take it out and let it cool down a little. I put it on the microwave grill.
Then I break the cake into small pieces - everything is done very quickly.
I take a glass and lay it in layers: cake, cream, jam (to taste) and repeat. Decorate with jam on top and you're done. Let the lazy cake soak a little in the fridge and enjoy an amazing dessert!
By the way, I think it tastes best with cherry jam!
