Even children eat pancakes with onions here! This recipe makes the pancakes very tasty! Try it. I'm sure your family will love their taste.
In a bowl I mix the egg, salt and sugar. I add kefir. I use kefir only at room temperature!
I stir everything with a whisk and gradually add flour. The dough should be smooth (no lumps!). The consistency is like thick sour cream.
Previously, I fry onions in vegetable oil, cut into half rings, until golden brown. When it cools down, add it to the dough.
I also send green onions here.
The idea to add fried onions came to me by accident. I fried onions for dumplings, and then changed my mind about cooking them (don't throw them away). So I added it "anywhere". And it turned out soooo delicious that now this is the only way I cook onion pancakes! Previously, like everyone else, I only added green onions to this dish. But my boys liked the "improved" recipe better.
I stir the dough. And at the very end I add soda. The dough should not come out runny. If it is liquid, I add more flour.
I let the dough stand for 15-20 minutes. And you can fry.
I don't mix the dough any more!!! Gently pick it up with a spoon and put it in a pan with heated oil.
I fry the pancakes over low heat on both sides until an appetizing golden brown crust.
To remove excess oil, I spread it on a paper towel.
Serve with sour cream. This is delicious! Moreover, such pancakes are no worse in cold form!
If you think there is a lot of sugar, add less. But I still recommend trying the recipe!
• Kefir - 1 stack.
• Flour - 1 stack. (+/- 1-2 tbsp.)
• Egg - 1 pc.
• Sugar - 1 tbsp. (less possible)
Salt - 1/3 tsp
• Soda 1/3 tsp.
• Onion - 1 pc.
• Green onions
• Vegetable oil - 2 tbsp.
