Just my observations
15 years ago I had a crockery and souvenir shop. The biggest sales we had not even before the New Year, but before March 8. We worked around the clock.
We really had queues. People bought gifts for each other. Moreover, gifts are not only for the wife, mother-in-law, mother, sister, aunt and grandmother. But also to a friend, a neighbor, teachers and necessarily (!) Colleagues at work!
We, I remember, constantly stood in lines at grocery stores, buying food for the festive table. And yes, we always got together with friends on this day and celebrated.
But lately this has not happened... Maximum - a card by sms 🤔
What changed? Income? Relations? They write to me that "the generation is different now"... How do you think? Write in the comments.
Every year I conduct a survey among my subscribers. And the result changes every year.
How is it with the sale of dishes now, I will not say exactly. But acquaintances say that they cannot even compare with what happened before. Now, we can say, "as if there is no holiday." For some reason, sales before March 8 are not increasing.
Write, have you changed your attitude towards this holiday? Or do you still congratulate all the women you know, give them flowers and gifts?
Of course, I look at my hobbies and see that there are still changes. Already before March 8, no one is interested in salad recipes. Nobody celebrates at work like they used to. And at home we meet less and less with friends.
Already without any problems, you can order a table in a cafe on March 8, buy any products without queuing. What has changed ...
Note that March 8 is for you?
Thank you in advance for your answers and your time! In a week I will compare the results and write if they differ from the results of the last year's survey.
