Kulesh. I don’t know if I have “right” or “wrong” - write in the comments - but we always cook that way! And we call this dish "Kulesh real". This is delicious!
While the boys are busy with the coals, I chop the bacon.
I spread the bacon in a cauldron, boil it over low heat. Then add the chopped onion and sauté it with lard until golden brown. I spread the bacon with onions on a plate.
I'm sending meat to the cauldron. I have pork. Instead of pork and lard, you can take homemade duck - it will also be delicious! I cook the meat, without adding water, under the lid for 10 minutes. You can add some salt. Then I add potatoes - and another 10 minutes.
I add water. Cover with a lid, bring to a boil, salt and cook for another 10 minutes.
I washed the millet well in advance, filled it with boiling water 2 times, then dried it a little. I add to the cauldron.
There is also a little black pepper and bay leaves. I send the fried bacon with onions to the cauldron 5 minutes before the dish is ready.
That's all! You can try! I don't think it's worth telling how delicious it is! You can cook this dish on the stove, in the oven, in a slow cooker. But it is most delicious, of course, in a cauldron in nature.
