It often happens that the cookies are damp and soft. Now I know how to make cookies crisp and tasty again.
In fact, I rarely buy cookies in the store. Usually, if you want something sweet, I cook it myself. But sometimes it still happens))
I noticed that for some reason no one eats cookies from the store. It hangs in the closet for a long time, becomes damp and tasteless. And it happens that it is already damp on the counter.
You can, of course, make some kind of cake from such cookies. Here are some of these, for example:
But you can make the biscuits crisp again. It's very simple. I didn’t come up with this method, it’s not new at all.
I decided to write this article after I once again bought damp cookies (my friend dropped in for tea, there was no time to cook something). And even after a friend said that she did not even think that "this is possible"))
I put the cookies on a baking sheet covered with parchment paper and put them to dry in an oven preheated to 180 degrees. If I notice water droplets on the oven door, I open the door for a few seconds - this will dry the cookies faster.
You can put several types of cookies on a baking sheet at once. But here it is very important to take into account that the amount of sugar in the products can be different. And while one type of cookie dries, the other can burn.
Therefore, there is no exact time for how long to dry the cookies. But I'm focusing on the aroma from the oven. As soon as I hear a cookie scent, I turn off the oven. You can leave the cookie sheet in the turned off oven for a few more minutes.
But this is dangerous. You can "overexpose". To make the biscuits crisp again, they must cool completely. I put it on a plate. And that's all.
Write, did you know about this method? Do you buy cookies from a store?
Recently, following the advice from the comments, I tried to do the same in the microwave. But no, that's not an option for me. In the middle, the cookies burned out, but the edges remained the same moist. Although, if there is no oven at hand, you can select the mode in the microwave, of course.
Enjoy your tea party!
