I don’t like this phrase, but here it fits: "Cookies that melt in your mouth!" I'm sure everyone knows and loves this cookie. Loose, tender and very, very tasty! Better not to try, otherwise you won't stop! 🙃 Even those on a diet are tempted by these cookies.
In the video below, the recipe for this cookie (at 02:05) and 4 more simple recipes (chocolate, from 3 ingredients, with lemon juice and cookies with boiled condensed milk, which takes 15 minutes to cook!). Take a look - you'll love it!
I add starch and powdered sugar to the softened butter. I mix with a mixer (it's more convenient). If there is no mixer, you can do with a regular fork.
When the mass becomes homogeneous, pour in vegetable oil and mix again.
Then a little sifted flour and vanillin.
It is better to add flour gradually. It's easier to mix this way. I usually use exactly 500 g of flour.
The dough turns out to be "naughty", "uncomfortable". It looks like wet sand. Scatters in the hands. This is what the dough looks like:
But you can still collect it in a lump. I make cookies right away. But you can put the dough in the refrigerator for half an hour - then it is easier to work with it. I cut off a piece and form a block out of it. How I do this can be clearly seen in the video above.
I cut this block into small pieces. I usually make them small, so that "one bite". It's more convenient later))
I spread it on a baking sheet. I usually use baking paper.
I put the cookies in an oven preheated to 150˚C for 30-35 minutes. The cookies should be very lightly browned. I do not recommend setting the temperature higher. I roll the biscuits while still warm in powdered sugar.
And that's it! You can pour tea. Write in the comments if you like these cookies. And if you haven't tried it, I highly recommend it. I'm sure all shortbread lovers will appreciate it!
