Hello friends! Today I make Christmas buns - Stollen, but not the classic version like the famous cupcake. I like these Christmas buns more like big candies and they are very good for tasty gifts. In this troubled time, I really want to please my loved ones with something tasty and pleasant.

Christmas buns with marzipan
- Chop the raisins if they are large.
- Dried fruits need to be washed, dried, put in a jar and filled with cognac or rum.
- Close the bank and leave for a day.
- Then heat the dried fruits in the microwave for half a minute, close the lid and stir.
- Repeat the operation several times until all the alcohol is practically absorbed.
- Add all spices and vanilla to dried fruits.
- Chop candied fruits and nuts.
- Remove the marzipan from the refrigerator.
DOUGH
- Add the pressed yeast to the milk and stir to dissolve.
- Here is 1 tsp. sugar from the total and a heap tablespoon of flour. Stir everything.
- Leave until bubbles appear. When the hat appears, you can continue.
- Add room temperature milk, flour, marzipan, salt, sugar and butter.
- Knead the dough.
- All ingredients should be combined until uniform.
- Pour nuts, candied fruits and soaked dried fruits into the dough.
- Mix everything.
Sprinkle the dough with flour, cover with foil and leave for two hours.
Meanwhile, roll in marzipan balls, about 10 g each.
For convenience, they can then be frozen for half an hour.
- Roll out the dough to a thickness of about 1 cm.
- Cut into squares from it. I got 20 pieces.
- Roll marzipan balls into dough squares.
- Put the future rolls immediately on a baking sheet covered with paper or a silicone mat.
- Cover them with foil and leave for half an hour.
- Preheat the oven to 180 ° C degrees.
- Melt ghee or butter.
- If you melt butter, it is necessary to remove the foam from it.
- Drain the pure fat into a bowl. Buns will swim there.
- Sift the icing sugar.
- After half an hour, put the rolls in the oven for about 20 minutes.
- Bathe the rolls in ghee and roll in powdered sugar.
- Put buns on parchment, and wait until the first layer is absorbed.
- Then roll the rolls in icing sugar a second time.
- The rolls should receive a snow coat.
Divine taste, all the charm of Christmas and New Years are collected in this one bun - candy.
Recipe for Christmas Marzipan Candy Buns:
280 g flour
140 g milk (50 + 90)
15 g compressed yeast
2 g salt
60 g sugar
250 g butter (80 g per dough, the rest for bathing)
225 g marzipan
40 g rum or cognac
100 g raisins (half light and dark)
80 g almonds
80 g candied lemon and orange
ready-made spices for gingerbread or 0.5 tsp. cinnamon, 1/4 tsp cardamom, some nutmeg and ground ginger
Powdered sugar for dusting.
