In fact, squid is a protein-rich, nutritious and affordable type of seafood. They make excellent salads and main courses, but appetizers deserve special mention.
Today I want to offer you one of the options for an oriental-style appetizer from this seafood - with soy sauce, aromatic spices and juicy vegetables.
I just recently tried such an appetizer at "New Year's gatherings", and now we can say it has become one of my favorites.
I am sure if you, like me, love this type of seafood, then you will definitely like this appetizer!
πCooking ingredients:
Fresh frozen squids - 500 g
Onions - 2 pcs. (small)
Carrots - 1 pc. (average)
Soy sauce - 50 ml
Lemon - 1 pc.
Ground black and red hot peppers - 1 pinch each
Nutmeg - pinch
A pinch of coriander beans.

First of all, peel the onions and cut them into thin half rings. Then put it in a bowl and pour over the juice squeezed from half a lemon, mix and set aside for now. Let the onions marinate while we prepare the other appetizer ingredients.
Moving on to squid... If you have them frozen, of course, first defrost them! And at this time, pour water into a saucepan, add some salt and bring to a boil. Put the thawed squid in boiling water and boil it for 1 minute after boiling. Then we throw it back in a colander and pour over with cold water. We clean the squid from the transparent film on the outside, then turn it out and clean the inner surface. We cut the carcasses themselves into rings, and the mantle ("ears") - into strips.
Peel, wash and grate the carrots for Korean salads. If there is no such grater, just cut into thin strips.
For dressing, mix the soy sauce, black and red pepper, nutmeg, coriander and juice squeezed from the second half of the lemon. Stir and now we must heat this mixture, but don't boil it !!!

Now we transfer all the prepared components of the snack into a deep container and fill it with dressing. We cover with a lid and put in the refrigerator for several hours, or overnight.
Squids are soft and vegetables are juicy. Spicy and very aromatic! Cook, taste, Bon appetit!
